Hi everyone. I took a little break from posting because honestly I haven felt very inspired lately. Everything is much of the same, and not in a bad way, but I just haven’t felt like writing anything down. With Spring Break officially upon us I have to start planning some activities to keep these kids happy and entertained. There is nothing worse than 3 bored kids stuck in a house all day. I guess you can also say that in return, there is nothing worse than a mom having to deal with 3 bored kids stuck in a house all day. So I think a trip to the water park is due, hopefully a movie outing, and anything else I come up with. Its just a week long thankfully, but I am already getting nervous for summer!
I honestly cant believe that this school year is almost over. Didn’t it just begin? Honestly though I always feel this way towards the end of the school year. Nervous for summer break but at the same time eager for the laid back summer days. No mass lunch packings every Sunday night, 6:30am wake up calls, and the long and annoying routine of after school pick ups. But with that comes the day in and day out struggle to not become over stressed and remain calm and happy. Which, in the end, always becomes a huge struggle for me.
On a happier note, we are starting to plan our summer road trip out to Colorado to visit my mom, sister, and delicious niece. The big kids are moving to California this summer, so Luis will travel on with them to drop them off. We plan on visiting Zion National Park, Roswell, Austin (finally), and a few other places on the way back home. We plan on racing out there, then taking our time getting back. I am really excited to get out west. I love being out in the mountains and desert. And of course being close to my mom and sister is always a bonus for me.
We also had two birthdays around here this past week. Hunter turned 2 and Julie turned 15! Brother and Sister whom are exactly 13 years apart. Sharing birthdays with a little sibling is pretty cool in my book. I mean, what are the chances of that happening? We have also kept our weekends happily busy with a trip to Miami Beach last weekend for a playground visit and pizza with friends. Even though living in Miami can be daunting and frustrating, its pretty cool that we can just drive 30 minutes in any direction and have a completely new experience. And while we have been to Miami Beach many times, we dont go very often, making it special when we do go.
This weekend we dont have many plans however. Luis has been prepping the bus all week to hopefully raise the roof this weekend. This job is working out to be much bigger than planned. We just keep trucking along with the goal of next summer to have it completely finished, and running on the road. Our video camera broke, so we hope to borrow one for the roof raise as I really want to be able to capture that big moment. Check back in here for that update will ya!!?
